Why do I need to provide so much documentation to file a claim?
The amount of documentation necessary to process a claim is determined on a case by case basis, and is required in order to validate your claim.
Supporting documentation helps to confirm that you were eligible to be covered, and that you suffered a financial loss. Documentation may include, but is not limited to, a medical report, physician statement, cancellation confirmation, receipt, credit card statement, or itinerary. Contact your travel insurance provider as soon as reasonably possible to report a claim and find out what documentation will be required in your situation.
