Can I purchase a policy after becoming infected with MERS?

Yes, however, if you purchase a policy after becoming infected with MERS, the illness will be treated the same as all other pre-existing medical conditions.

If you are not eligible for pre-existing condition coverage you may still purchase a policy, however you will not be able to be reimbursed for treatment related to the MERS diagnosis.
