Can I still purchase a travel insurance policy to cover MERS?

Yes, travelers are still able to purchase a travel insurance policy to cover MERS.
Currently, MERS is not listed as an exclusion by most of the providers on the Squaremouth platform. This means that coverage is still available for medical treatment, and evacuation if a traveler contracts MERS while on their trip.
Additionally, travelers will be able to cancel or interrupt their trips due to contracting the virus as well. If a traveler would like to cancel their trip because of the fear of contracting MERS, Squaremouth recommends purchasing a policy with the cancel for any reason benefit.
